Sometimes in life you just need a treat.  Even though you are doing Paleo it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a decadent chocolate brownie and these Paleo brownie recipes prove it!

These are all grain free, gluten free and refined sugar free making them much better for you than the traditional brownie made with white flour and sugar.   There are also some nut free options.

Making brownies with added vegetable makes them moist as well as more nutritious.  Most brownies can be successfully frozen for up to 3 months by wrapping the whole slab or individual brownies in a plastic freezer bag or a container with a lid.  Defrost by leaving to thaw at room temperature then reheat using a microwave or convection oven.

It is important to remember that brownies should be eaten as an occasional treat.  Thinking that because they are Paleo they can be eaten on a regular basis is one of the 3 big Paleo mistakes to avoid.

2. Best Fudgy Paleo Brownies

Using only one bowl, 7 ingredients and 10 minutes prep time, these are quick and easy to make Paleo brownies without nuts.  Coconut flour, tapioca flour and cocoa powder are the basis for these fudgy brownies.

Grated pumpkin is the basis of these fabulous fudgy brownies which are topped with a chocolate sauce.  Pumpkin is lower in sugar than sweet potato and provides lots of vitamins A & C and fibre. They contain macadamia oil but this can be replaced by extra coconut oil for a nut-free brownie.

These delicious brownies are egg-free and can be easily made AIP.  Zucchini has a neutral flavour and texture in these brownies, adds nutrients and fibre and is low-carb.  These are made with coconut and tapioca flours, coconut oil and cocoa powder.  The recipe has gelatin eggs however you can substitute regular eggs if preferred.
